Mike + Michelle

What is more romantic than a NYE wedding?!  I was so thrilled to be able to capture all the magic on Mike and Michelle's dreamy day<3... It snowed 18 inches in New Gloucester the day before the wedding and was a balmy 10 degrees out.  None of this mattered.  Mike and Michelle were an absolute treasure to be around.. their LOVE is palpable and so sweet to witness.  The wedding was created with a Beauty and the Beast theme.. Michelle had collected vases, tea cups, clocks and trinkets from various Antique shops over the last few months.. I loved each little detail. They also wrote special letters to each other to read before their first look.  This was my favorite part of the day.. I secretly love it when the groom gets emotional and Mike was truly the sweetest. Thank you Mike and Michelle for including me in your love story<3  Cheers to a million years of LOVE.

Aaron + Angela

We got freezing rain, little bursts of snow, chilly temps and SO many full hearts witnessing Angela and Aaron tie the knot last weekend!  I met these two just over a year ago.. we sat down to a drink to discuss their wedding plans and I immediately fell in love with them.. it actually felt like we had always been friends, and I know we will be.  It was wonderful getting to know them over this past year and watching Angela's vision of the perfect winter wedding come to life!  I could hardly believe my eyes when I walked into the barn.  Stunning beauty, just like the bride and groom and their LOVE.

Matthew + Cassidy

Goodness.  This wedding was a DREAM.  I had Matt and Cassidy scheduled for an August 2017 wedding date.. But, a couple months ago Cassidy called me one night at proclaimed she had a wild idea!  Anyone that knows me, knows how much I LOVE wild ideas.. the next day she emailed me my flight confirmation.  Eloping!!  There is something truly romantic about a small group of friends and family coming together for a quiet and secret wedding.  We were all soggy eyes for days.. filled with love and excitement!  I couldn't be any more honored to have been chosen for this adventure and capturing a piece of Matt and Cassidy's love story!  Please enjoy a small snippet of their unforgettable day. <3

Web + Catie

This engagement session was an adventure.  Strong winds, high tide, major sea spray, a rainbow, pink skies and some SERIOUS LAUGHTER.  I have known Web for as long as I can remember.. he is one of the best guys out there and meeting his Catie filled my heart with total joy.  They are SO good together. And that sweet pup is the icing on the cake!

Matt + Kira

I had the pleasure of meeting Matt and Kira and their 2 sweet pups last weekend for their engagement session.. They traveled up from Massachusetts and as luck would have it the rain stopped for the short time that we were together. Here are a few of my favorites.. Already looking forward to their 2017 wedding!

Chelsea + Andrew

A few of my favorites from Chelsea and Andrew's Engagement Session last week.. these 2 are so easy to be around.  We spent the evening wandering around Wolfe Neck and had the best time!  My clients are truly the sweetest. <3

Whitney + Calab

Whitney and Calab are so so sweet.. I could melt just being around them.  They are High School Sweethearts.  I know this first hand.. When I used to teach, Whitney was a senior and would come into my classroom to help with the afterschool programs.  Each time I would ask her about Calab, her eyes would LIGHT up like a Christmas tree.  And let me tell you.. this has not changed!  Their engagement session was full of laughs, and eye sparkles, as you can clearly see from a few of my favorites.<3I can't wait for their spring wedding!!

George + Cindy <3

Next week my parents will be celebrating their 40 wedding anniversary!!  Since September my twins have been attending preschool on the base in Brunswick and every M/W/F as I bring them to school, I find myself thinking about my parents and all they have accomplished.  High school sweethearts.  Married at 19!?  My dad served for the Navy for 10 years and my mom went with him on all of the adventures.. They were based in Brunswick when I was born.  They raised my brother in I on 'Brunswick Ave' in Fort Fairfield.  They owned a business together.  Survived my teenage years?!.. and as fate would have it they are back in the town of Brunswick surrounded by 5 adoring grandchildren and a couple of grand-pups.  They are quite an inspiration and have always been a true role model for love, marriage and parenting.  It only seemed logical to take them to the Navy base and snap a few photos of them.. I think they are truly the sweetest and cutest.  Love you Momma and Dad!  Congratulations on FORTY years.. Looking forward to that 50th photo shoot already!

Jess + Roger

Roger and Jessica are truly the sweetest couple I have ever had the pleasure of working with!  They are so kind and loving to all those around them and especially towards each other.  They picked a jackpot of a day.. 70, sunny and foliage perfection at Aroostook State Park.  It was an absolute joy to be there and capture their celebration.  They chose to have an intimate ceremony with just family.. and each family member had a special hand in bringing the day together.  Cheers to a lifetime, Jess and Roger (and Baxter!!)!!

Ross + Katey

There were countless unforgettable moments during Ross and Katey's day.. But, I have to tell you about my favorite.  We were wrapping up the bridal party shots and I had Katey and Ross stop along side the road at this beautiful field over looking the mountains.  We got out of the car and Katey had the urge to run.. Ross, without hesitation, took off right behind her.  I think it is like that with marriage.. as long as you are running in the same general direction, towards a common goal, with love and understanding and perhaps a little humor.. you will make it.  I am so happy to have been a little part of this love-story and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for them!  Congratulations Ross and Katey!! xo

Julie + Ren

Julie and Ren were planning a little vacation in Maine and they found me on Instagram.. They were celebrating their wedding anniversary and decided they would like to document a little slice of their time here in Maine.  I am SO thrilled they contacted me!!  We were scheduled in hopes to catch an end of summer sunset but we ended up with the most romantic ocean fog<3.  I hope they will cherish these images forever.. I sure had an amazing time catching them!  Happy Anniversary Ren and Julie!

Nicolle + Bryan | Mackworth Island | Engagement Session

I had the best time wandering around Mackworth Island with Nicolle and Bryan last week.. I feel so lucky to play a little role in peoples love stories!!  And these two were so sweet talking about how he asked and future plans.. I loved their love!  I cannot wait to be there for their big day in June!!  So much excitement.  <3

Personal Update | Preschool...

Scrolling through facebook this morning had me in a big puddle of emotions.. don't get me wrong, I LOVE seeing all the "first day back to school" pictures!  But this year it is happening at this house.  And quite frankly, I am not ready.

This summer has been amazing.  Full of growth and setbacks and learning.. Most recently Liam was accepted into a specialized school where he will receive one on one attention and more, intensive speech therapy each day!  YAY!  But.. they only had a spot for Liam, Nicholas has been placed on their wait list for the time being.  This has been one of the hardest and gut wrenching decisions we have had to make so far, being parents of twins.  Separation.  At this age!?  I have found strength in prayer, that this is the best thing for Liam and they will both be totally fine.. but I can't help but cry every time I think about it.

If you didn't read my first blog about Liam.. he suffers from a motor planning disorder.  He understands everything that goes on around him, and he knows what he WANTS to say, but he is unable to form the words to correctly express himself.  He has been working SO hard and we are seeing gains each day.  In the last few weeks we have even had some 3 words sentences!!  It makes us all jump up and down with joy!  Even Nicholas and Jacob understand Liam's difficulties, since they too spend so much time doing speech exercises with Liam and his Speech Therapist.  I know it is becoming increasingly more frustrating for Liam, watching Jacob's language totally explode and listening to his baby brother say all those words he wishes he could say.  It will happen.. but not without some serious grit and determination.

I think what I am most emotional about is my fear.  Not fear that Liam will never talk, I know he will overcome this.  I am mostly afraid of the other children.  That they won't understand him.  That they will think he is weird and leave him out when they are playing.  Or laugh at him because he is different.  Sooo I am asking you all that are reading this.. Please, when your kids get home today from their first day of school, talk to them.  Talk to them about kids with disabilities, or delays, or kids that may come from less money, or kids that are quiet and don't fit in.. talk to them about acceptance.  Talk to them about empathy.  Sharing.  Tolerance.  Being kind, even when it is easier to go with the crowd.  And if you would like to say a little prayer for my Liam.. they are always welcome<3

This was a recent trip to the beach as we try and soak up every last moment of this glorious summer..

Matthew + Cassidy | Engaged

Ahhhhh!!  I know this might sound a little crazy.. but.. what is more romantic than getting up at 4 in the morning to catch the sunrise, but instead dancing in the rain?!  I am so glad we went for it and didn't reschedule.. this engagement session was so much fun.  Probably because these two are SO much fun to be around!!  I can't wait for the wedding!! <3

Nicole + Steven | Portland's Ocean Gateway | Maine Wedding

Steven and Nicole got married a week ago today.. at the amazing Ocean Gateway in Portland.  And it rained!  Not just a little rain.. the biggest and hardest rain we have had all year.  I actually read the next day that Portland experienced the largest and fastest drop in temperature they have ever seen.  30 degrees in one hour.. that was THE hour that Nicole and Steve said I do!  They handled it without a bat of an eye, almost like it was planned.  These two are the sweetest and I couldn't be more happy to have been there to capture their beautiful wedding day<3.  Happy one week anniversary!  XO

Nicc + Kelsey | Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm | Maine Wedding

Where do I even begin?!  Nicc and Kelsey got hitched last Saturday at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm.  The day teased us with thunder storms until the sky finally opened up just minutes before the ceremony.. and left us with a rainbow.  It was as close to perfect, as perfect gets.  The abundance of love from family and friends really filled my cup.  The mugs were gifts to the guests, handcrafted by Kelsey's father.  The tables were handmade by Nicc himself!  And they were absolutely gorgeous!  No detail was spared, each one telling a special piece of the couples story. The day was like a dream and I will be forever grateful to have been a part of it!!

Liam + Jaclyn | The Stonehouse at the Bar Harbor Regency | Maine Coastal wedding

Jaclyn and Liam got hitched at the Stonehouse, located on the waters edge at the Bar Harbor Regency.  Quite possibly the most gorgeous backdrop, ever.  I don't think I could pick a favorite part of the day.. there were countless unforgettable moments.  From the homemade moonshine, to the grooms tears during the ceremony (which of course made everyone else cry!), or the bride rocking every dance move to Michael Jackson's Beat It!  So. Much. Fun.

Garden Gate at Haley Farm | Spring Color Inspired | Styled Shoot

About a month ago I had the sheer pleasure of teaming up with some UBER talented and creative women-business owners for a stylized shoot.  Garden Gate at Haley Farm is a new wedding venue in Sebago, Maine and I was blown away by its beauty and charm.  Surrounded by 70 acres of woods and history, this venue really has it all.  The ferns that cover the table were picked right from the grounds at Haley Farm.  Any day that is spent being creative, sharing inspiration and eating the worlds most delicious cake, is the very best day in my book.

William + Sarah | Peaks Island | Maine Wedding<3

A little over a year ago Will asked me if I would hide in the bushes with my camera and catch that magical moment when he mustered up the courage to ask Sarah to marry him.. I remember being SO nervous and excited to be part of such an unforgettable moment in their lives.  Annnd then they asked me to shoot their wedding day.  We have all grown closer in this year leading up to the wedding and the JOY and LOVE I have for them is immeasurable!  It is an honor and a blessing to know these two and I am so lucky to call them best friends.  I am looking forward to us all growing old together;). Please enjoy some of my favorites from their beautiful wedding day. XOXO
